My name is Jana and I live in the South, I was born and raised in Seattle but like sunnier weather.

I picked up my great grandmothers knitting needles when I was a kid, I had no idea how to use them and no one around me did either. Being a determined child I was set on figuring it out. And I did! Of course it took a lot of trial and error, and also originally taught myself how to knit left handed. Over time I came to realize most patterns I was finding at the time were tailored to right handed knitters, so I reversed the way I did it. It took many years and of course when I got older and YouTube became a thing, I would look up videos to help me hone this craft.

Now, I am constantly carrying knitting needles and looking for my next project. I tend to like things to be unique and to stand out. Life is to short to not stand out. I'm also always looking for a way to challenge myself and take on something that seems impossible. A lot of what I make metaphorically projects how I am feeling at the time, a form of therapy I suppose.

I love making things for people and seeing their face light up, especially when it's something they needed.
