I use many different techniques with my knitting, but I have my favorites that I use most. I love cables, yarn overs and lace patterns. I tend to over use cables and have to re-do what I’m making and start over. The most common technique I use is switching stitch patterns to give more texture and a subtle pop to what I’m making. For adding designs or more color to piece I like to duplicate stitch it on. Takes more time, yes, but I prefer to not use to much yarn if its not necessary. All that being said, sometimes I’m obsessed with cabling and then the next week I’m obsessed with garter stitch. So it really depends on where my head is at.
